Our Story
The CarePages service began with one family.
Things were going well for Eric and Sharon Langshur. He was the president of a publicly traded, multinational aerospace company and she was a pediatrician. When their first child, Matthew, was born with a congenital heart defect, their course changed.
The Langshur family struggled with the emotional burden of making repeated telephone calls to family and friends and the isolation they experienced in the hospital throughout Matthew's 3 open heart surgeries. They created a 'CarePage' to stay in touch with loved ones and receive messages of encouragement. The emotional support they received from the 'CarePage' met a critical need that the hospital was unable to fill. Within weeks, the CarePage received over 2,000 hits a day. The family knew they were on to something important.
Eric and Sharon were so inspired by their CarePages experience, they left their jobs and started a healthcare company with the mission to improve the healthcare experience. With the encouragement of their son's cardiologist, the Langshurs formed TLContact, Inc. with a mission to improve the healthcare experience by developing and providing tools that help the healthcare community connect with the people they serve.
